I’m sure you get a craving for something sweet, like a donut, like we all do. This recipe for the EASIEST Donuts in the Air Fryer from Biscuits is so simple and will definitely hit that sweet tooth. This post contains affiliate links.
These donuts are so easy to make. My family goes crazy for these things and they take just minutes to make.
What do you need to make the EASIEST Donuts in the Air Fryer from Biscuits?
The biscuits to make these are the cans of refrigerated biscuits from the store. They have a few different kinds. I find the ones that ARE NOT FLAKY are the best and most like a donut. But…the flaky kind are really good too because they actually come out like a cronut that’s all very flaky.
So here’s what you need:
- Air Fryer
- 1 can of biscuits. You can use the big ones or the little ones, whatever you prefer.
- 1/2 stick of butter, melted
- White Sugar
- Ground Cinnamon
How do you make the EASIEST Donuts in the Air Fryer from Biscuits?
First, lay out the biscuits on a piece of parchment paper or wax paper.
Press each biscuit as flat as you can with your hand or use a rolling pin. (I use my hand.)
Cut a hole in the center of each one. I have this set of round cookie cutters, and I use the smallest one to cut the holes. But, you can totally use what you have on hand — an apple corer, knife, etc.
Place the biscuits without touching in the air fryer. I have a large 8-qt air fryer, so I’m able to fit about 4 biscuits in the basket plus a bunch of donut holes.
With 2 cans, it takes me about 3 runs to finish all of them. This is usually because some of my kids prefer donut holes, and I just use the circle cutter to cut the entire biscuit into donut holes, which are easy to place all around the bigger donuts.
The donut holes just go in with the donuts at the same time, so I just place them around the donuts in the air fryer so they aren’t touching as well.
Spray some oil spray over the tops.
Set the air fryer to 350 F for 6 minutes.
While the donuts are cooking, melt the butter and mix the cinnamon and sugar together in a bowl.
The donuts should be a light golden brown when they’re done. If not, let them cook for an additional 1-3 minutes, until lightly golden brown.
When the biscuits are done, place them on parchment paper or wax paper. Then, immediately baste all sides of the donuts with a basting brush. You’ll have to pick them up to do the backsides.
Then, immediately toss them in the cinnamon and sugar and make sure all the sides are coated.
Set one down and do the next one, until they are all sugar coated.
I add the butter and sugar as soon as they come out of the air fryer, so we have our donuts in batches. They seem to be the tastiest when they’re fresh and hot!
Making the EASIEST Donut Holes in the Air Fryer from Biscuits
Make sure to do the same with the donut holes, too!
I make the donut holes right along with the donuts in the air fryer. They come out perfect this way.
Actually, one of my kids prefers donut holes to the donuts, so I always take a couple of biscuits and just cut them into tiny circles for donut holes.
Make them the exact same way you make the donuts.
