When I make desserts in the air fryer like cake or cobbler or even this blueberry crisp, I love to use my 7-inch air fryer cake barrel. I got it in an “air fryer accessory set” with a ton of other stuff that fit perfectly in the air fryer.
What ingredients do you need to make this Berry Cobbler in the Air Fryer?
You don’t need much!
- 2 cups berries
- 1 cup self rising flour
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 teaspoon turbinado sugar (raw sugar)
What kinds of berries can you use in this air fryer cobbler?
This recipe can be made with just 2 cups of your favorite berries. I used fresh berries and used 1 cup of strawberries and 1 cup of blueberries. But you can use any berries:
- blackberries
- blueberries
- strawberries
- raspberries
- or a combination of all them!
Can I make self rising flour with all purpose flour?
Yes you can! I never buy self rising flour. I just make it myself. Here’s the quick recipe:
For 1 cup of self rising flour, combine:
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
You can even make up several cups of self rising flour and just store in a ziplock bag when you need them!
How do you make this air fryer mixed berry cobbler?
Preheat the air fryer to 350 F degrees for about 5 minutes.
Wash the berries and transfer them to the cake barrel. If there are large berries, such as strawberries, cut those into halves or quarters.
Add the sugar to the berries and mix.
In a separate bowl combine the self rising flour and cream until it’s a crumbly mixture.
Use your hands to knead it together for about 15-20 seconds.
Transfer the crust to the top of the berries and cover all the berries.
Add the turbinado sugar on top of the crust.
Cook for 15 minutes at 350 F degrees or until golden brown.
Serve a scoop with ice cream or by itself.
Can you use frozen berries?
Yes but I would let them defrost or microwave them for about 1 minute before putting them into the cobbler.
