Biscuits are probably my most favorite thing to eat in the world. I eat them all the time, and making Air Fryer Buttermilk Biscuits not only doesn’t heat up the kitchen but it cuts way down on the baking time, too!

You are gonna love these buttermilk biscuits. Slice them in the middle, add butter and some jam or honey, and that is my favorite breakfast to eat.

Ingredients for Air Fryer Buttermilk Biscuits

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup COLD unsalted butter + 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk

How to make Air Fryer Buttermilk Biscuits?

Place the butter in the freezer for 30 minutes.

Stir together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.

Use a grater to shred the butter, so it’s easy to add to the mixture.

Add the butter to the dry ingredients.

Add the milk and buttermilk to the dry ingredients.

Mix until everything is moistened.

Lay out a piece of parchment paper and sprinkle with flour.

Use your hands to fold the dough into a rectangle and then fold it in half again.

Use a biscuit cutter, circle cookie cutter or a glass to cut out biscuits.

Melt the tablespoon of butter and brush on the biscuits before cooking.

Lay the biscuits in the air fryer and cook for 9 minutes.

Can you make these Air Fryer Buttermilk Biscuits ahead of time?

Yes! These are perfect to make 1-2 days ahead of time. I make them up about every 3 days and keep them in the fridge in a ziplock baggie, and just reheat the amount of biscuits needed.

Can you freeze these Air Fryer Buttermilk Biscuits?

Yes, you can totally freeze them as long as you put them in a freezer-safe container such as a freezer ziplock bag. Just allow them to defrost on the counter before heating up.
